                                                      Ka BAND VSAT BLOCK DIAGRAM

The simplified workflow of the Ka-Band VSAT system is as follows:

  1. Reception Path: The incoming Radio Frequency (RF) signal is captured by the Antenna and routed through the Diplexer to an LNA (Low Noise Amplifier) for low-noise amplification. A Buffer stage follows to condition the amplified signal for further processing. This signal is then sent to a Mixer, where it mixes with the Local Oscillator (LO) signal to downconvert to an Intermediate Frequency (IF) signal, which is output as IF Out.

  2. Transmission Path: The input IF signal (IF In) is processed by a Buffer, amplified by a Driver, and further boosted to the required power level by a PA (Power Amplifier). Meanwhile, a Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (VCO), regulated by a VTune signal, generates a high-frequency signal that is divided by 4 (÷4) to form the LO signal. The amplified IF signal is fed into another Mixer, combining with the LO signal to upconvert to the Ka-band RF signal.

  3. Signal Routing: The Ka-band RF signal is sent through the Diplexer to the Antenna for transmission. The Diplexer ensures isolation between the reception and transmission paths, enabling simultaneous or alternate operation of both functions.
